MMMMMmmm, MMMMMmmm, Good Quilt Market!!

I love quilt market!  Of course there is more quilty goodness than any one shop owner should be allowed to enjoy.  I wish I could wrap it ALL up and bring it home to you!  Hey, a girl can dream, right?

For now, you'll have to settle for a fabulous block of the month!  Wonder quilter/Cozy Gal/Thimblemom, Debbie, found it and suggested we offer it in the shop.  When I saw it at the shop, I just knew we had to have it!!!  Yes, I ordered it!  We even get to have the quilt in our shop, December 19 - Jan. 6.  You can reserve yours today.  We have a limited number available, so hurry!!

Here it is!  Lovebird Lane!  I so love this quilt!  You can order yours here.  We're taking reservations now and will begin shipping in February 2010.

I'll be back soon with more market goodness for you!  Enjoy!!!

Everything but blogging...

Where does the time go? Here is what I've been doing since the my last post.

Quilter's Run - Here's Martha showing me what she did with her Saturday Sampler blocks. Isn't this quilt gorgeous??
Next, off San Diego with Alyssa for the Albion College Showcase Soccer Tournament. (Alyssa is in the yellow goalie jersey)

Then I was back just in time for the Long Beach Quilt Festival
No rest for the weary, Alyssa and I were headed to Tracy, CA to sell my sequin softball/volleyball/dance/cheer headbands.

Most recently, we spent a week at Newport Beach with my sister and her family. It was awesome!

Wow, time flies when you are having fun!!!

Random Summer fun...

Summer is here and we are making the most of it! Last week we took the kids to an Angel game. They won and the kids managed to get the signed line up cards! Sweet!
Erik's at the YMCA day camp this week and Teen Camp next week. How did he get to be a teenager???

Alyssa is enjoying a break from soccer until next week, then it's back to training 3 or 4 days a week, plus a tournament. Go Infinity G94!

I'm getting ready for the Southern California Quilters Run and Long Beach Quilt Festival. It's going to be a busy month!

Some how we managed to sneak away to my sister's cabin over the weekend. It was lovely, but I don't have any pictures to share.

So that's what I've been up to. I'd love to hear what your summer fun includes!!

Sew Happy!!!

I learned to sew in Jr. High Home Ec. I made a few clothing items for myself, including quite a few "MC Hammer" style pants for myself --- Hey, what can I say, it was the 80's!!!

Any hooo, I never enjoyed sewing clothing, but instantly loved quilting. I recently tried to sew a cute little "Simplicity" pattern (oxymoron!) for my niece, Nicole. Needless to say, I quickly remembered why I don't sew clothes. I ended up so frustrated that I tossed it ALL in the trash and vowed not to ever do it again. Well, that was before I hung out at the N. Cities Quilt Show. The booth next to me had several very cute little girl dress patterns. I found one that I had to have. The good news is that it was written by Indygo Junction and was fabulously easy! I finished it one night. Here's the pattern, Shoulder Tie Topper and my version! It's so cute and easy! I promise!

N. Cities Quilt Guild Quilt Show

Last Friday, I participated in our local quilt guild quilt show. We had a lot of fun visiting with friends and looking at all the pretty quilts. It makes me smile to see so many quilts in the show that started at Cozy Cottage!
Here's our booth. We had lot's of goodies for our quilting friends...
Here's the opportunity quilt from Friendship Square Quilt Guild. They will be selling tickets and displaying the quilt at Cozy Cottage during the first weekend of the Quilter's Run. It's needle turn applique and hand quilted. Simply Gorgeous!!!!
