Detour...

Well, it wasn't exactly what I had planned, but here's the scoop! Last Friday, I ended up having a meniscus repair (they sewed it back together) and an ACL reconstruction (they replaced my ligament with my part of my hamstring). While I knew it was a possibility, I didn't think it would happen. When I woke up from surgery, the first thing I asked my hubby was what surgery he did he said "the big one". That means I'm on crutches for 6 weeks and will have 7 months of physical therapy.

Next detour was my pain med. Sunday morning I woke up and was itching like crazy and couldn't lift my head from the pillow because I was so dizzy. I layed there for a while before I woke my sweet hubby up and started panicking! We called the Drs. office and they said I needed to go to the emergency room, but since I couldn't walk, I'd need to go by ambulance. A few minutes later I had 8 men in my bedroom, who carried me down the stairs to the ambulance and off to the hospital. After some steroids and benadryl I was sent home to rest. Wheww, what a day!!

Now, I'm just chillin' on the couch. I go back to the Drs. on Weds. for my first check up and then start some physical therapy. I'll keep you posted!!

I have to say thank you to all you sweeties who have been sending warm wishes and offers of help. They are all appreciated!!! Thank you, Teri, Sharon, and all my Cozy Friends!!! Looking forward to seeing all of you soon!!!

Take care of yourself. My DH had his ACL repaired. He's fine now, but those crutches were a pain!

Kris, I've been thinking about you since the fires, we were about a mile from the evacuation zone, too. So glad the store and your home is okay, I'm very sorry about the knee. Let me know if you need anything, I make a great baked spaghetti...

Take good care, see you soon!
