Heaven..., I mean Hoffman!!!!

Today Marianne (My Store Manager and friend) and I made a trip to Hoffman to pick up some fabric. It is so fun to cruise the aisles of fabric and see all of the batik and other yummy goodies... I got to grab a cart and roll down the aisles pulling bolts. We were on a mission to restock some batiks, find batiks for a quilt kit and look for some deals to pass on to our customers.
I'd say we were successful! Here's my trunk full of fabric! It's not even at the shop yet, still parked safely in my garage... Wait, you don't know where I live do you????
Mmmm, here are a couple of NEW Hoffman batiks that found there way into my cart. Aren't they bright and fun???

Oh Sew Refreshed...

We had a wonderful Spring Break in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We used our timeshare at Paradise Village for the first time. We've been to Puerto Vallarta many times, but it was the first time in this resort. We had a lovely 2 bedroom suite, just steps from the beach and pools.

Now, it's back to reality. I am refreshed and revitalized. I am so refreshed, that I decided we need to move the shop around and clean house. I'll be back with those details soon...

Oh, stop by here and read about mine and my friends first quilts. There are some great pictures and stories...

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We're off to Mexico for Spring Break! You'll find me by the pool with a margarita in hand for the next 7 days!

That Sharon, had the cutest little zipper bags made from towels on her blog. She even gave a tutorial, so I made some for Alyssa and my neices for Easter. They are super quick and fun. I just wish I had found better kitchen towels! One of the bags I added a vinyl liner. Quick and easy fun!!

Hasta la vista!!! See you in a week!

Designing Fabric

Hi There! Like all of you I've been super busy lately. My most important job, you know, the "Mom" job, has been keeping me hopping, or should I say driving. Little league is in full swing with two practices and two games per week. Alyssa's soccer is in overdrive and we're driving all over creation for practices and games. In fact, hubby is taking her up to Bakersfield (about 3 hours away) for the "State Cup" soccer tournament this weekend.

I'll be at home trying to make sure Erik gets to his games, while I welcome "Spring Fling Shop" hoppers at the shop. If you are nearby, I hope you'll visit!

I've also been working on a secret project with my friends at Hoffman Fabrics. I've been designing my own fabric, no, not a complete line, just a one cute little fabric. It's been such a fun process and I can't wait to be able to show you! It will be a fabric that is available from Cozy Cottage Fabrics and a few of your favorite quilt shops. Sorry to be so secretive, but I'll share more as soon as I can!
